Research Interests:
Agarwal studies how information technology can be used to alleviate cost and quality challenges in healthcare. Working with colleagues in the UMD Center for Health Information and Decision Systems, she identifies mechanisms to successfully incorporate information technology into healthcare routines. Current collaboration with UMB includes a detailed assessment of diabetes treatment in the United States, combining expertise in data modeling and statistical analysis of large databases, mathematical modeling, health economics and endocrinology.
