Research Interests: 

Herskovits runs the Biomedical Data Mining Laboratory at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, whose members apply probability theory and information theory to better understand the complex relationships among image, clinical, and genetic data. He has collaborated with psychiatrists, neurologists, and neurosurgeons to analyze structural and functional MR data in the settings of traumatic brain injury, stroke, schizophrenia, autism and Alzheimer's disease, among other disorders.
