Hannenhalli focuses on using computational approaches to harness the huge amount of biological data in genomes, transcriptomes, proteomes and more in order to answer specific questions pertaining to gene regulation and molecular evolution. He is working with UMB on a study involving enhancer-mediated genotype-phenotype relationships.
