Timothy O'Connor
Associate Professor
Medicine Biopark II, Room 653, 801 W. Baltimore Street
(410) 706-6784
Education:
Ph.D., University of Cambridge (Evolutionary Genetics)
Research Interests:
O'Connor is primarily interested in human evolutionary genetics and the evolution of genotype-phenotype architecture for both disease and naturally distributed traits. His laboratory explores the effects of evolution and population structure on the genomic architecture of disease and other phenotypes. One of the biggest questions of modern genetics and evolution is to understand the complex connection between genes, environment, and phenotype. O'Connor seeks to understand the origin of phenotypic diversity.
